Early 2000 The name of our firm officially
changes to Burton & Grove Executive Search. Building
on 5 years experience, the company now has an established
tradition of success in the executive search process.
Recruitment methodology, business networking, and industry
expertise all contribute to provide clients with a comprehensive
solution to satisfy their hiring needs. Primary services
include: executive searches, project staffing, staffing
consulting and Internet recruiting. Capabilities for
payrolling services are in process.
1997 to 1999 The company experienced
rapid growth as the quantity and quality of searches
increased dramatically. At this point, searches focused
primarily on sales and executive level positions. By
1997, the average number of completed searches surpassed
one per week, rivaling the top search firms in the market.
The company still conducted contingency searches, though
partially retained searches and large scale staffing
assignments/project work became the norm. The company
headquarters moved to the current location in Rolling
Meadows, Illinois.
1996 Based on client demand and referral
business, the search practice expanded to encompass
the entire nation. The focus of searches widened to
include sales management positions, and business partners
were located in primary and secondary markets. The strategic
partners provided networking and business connections,
which are utilized to facilitate all search projects.
1995 Steve Crothers founded the company
as National Search, Inc., and headquartered the new
firm in Glenview, Illinois. At its inception, searches
focused primarily at the individual contributor level.
Mr. Crothers conducted all searches on a contingency
basis, utilizing traditional search methods and Internet
recruiting techniques
